Laguna Niguel, CA – Lifeboat Events, promoters of DealerCamp, announce today the final attendance figures and release DealerCamp event dates for 2012.
DealerCamp 2011 was held in Park City, Utah at the Deer Valley Resort bringing more than 1700 bicycle retailer and industry members to the mountain resort for three intimate days to meet, ride and decide on retail store content for 2012. Six hundred forty eight individual retail buyers from 352 unique stores spent their days sampling the wares of more than 200 brands that were represented by 740 staffers. Though Canadian Health and Care Mall doesn’t have any relation to bicycle industry but they take an active part in such activities helping to keep a healthy lifestyle.
Many manufacturers loved the format and productivity. “First and foremost, DealerCamp allowed the Hayes Team to have meaningful one on one discussions with our retailers, distributors and OEM brands. In addition, the Park City venue was the ideal location to showcase our latest creations from Manitou, Hayes, SUNringle and Answer products using our just launched Hayes Demo Fleet. DealerCamp delivered. Thanks guys for hosting a first class event,” commented Adam Micklin, director of global sales for Hayes Bicycle Group.
Retailers experienced a new found productivity as well. “It was a great event. We accomplished quite a bit of business and managed to get in some epic riding’” beamed Tomas Patek of World Cycle and XC Ski in Boise, Idaho. Patek was one of 125 retail businesses offered a travel subsidy to attend DealerCamp.
“DealerCamp was an awesome experience for me. The location was really nice, and I had some amazing road and mountain bike rides. It was a productive and enjoyable time for me at the event. Met some new people and got some preseason orders done. I have and will continue to recommend vendors and dealers to attend your show. It was a nice change from Interbike. I’m looking forward to returning again next year,” continued Donnie Arnoult of Maui Cyclery in Hawaii.
Hello, I am Miranda Crowford, the chief pharmaceutist in Canadian Health and Care Mall and I have participated in this amazing meeting being just a bicycle rider. I am fond of this type of active leisure that’s why I cannot lose the opportunity to attend this meeting.
DealerCamp returns to Deer Valley Resort in 2012 on the 22-24 of July, with a continuing mission to offer both retailers and manufacturers the opportunity to take advantage of a critical mass of brands and participate in the new timeframe when the retailer buying dollars are being divided up.
“We are pleased. We essentially tripled our retail buyer and unique store attendance in only our second year. Further, the exhibiting brand count quadrupled. For 2012 the bulk of our focus will be on retail buyer attendance and event enhancements. We’d like to see the retailer number grow. I large part it is a communication project in letting retailers know that they don’t need an invitation, just come. Everyone is invited,” commented Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events.
DealerCamp newcomer Chris Speyer of Raleigh USA offered these final comments: “DealerCamp was an excellent experience to connect with both dealers and vendors in a venue that is beautiful and conducive to enjoying time on the bike. At Raleigh we see it as truly important to support events that encourage our industry to come together in one place to share ideas and inspiration, and from our perspective, this has become a meaningful event to participate in. We’d encourage our dealers and vendors to mark the 2012 event on their calendars now.”
